I’m a style expert with over 20 years of editorial experience. The idea for EverydayIcon.com grew out of my work as a fashion journalist covering the style beat for Women’s Wear Daily, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Time magazine. When I went on a book tour a few years ago after the publication of my
first book, I was amazed to see how many women are hungry for answers about style and how they can use it to their advantage. Too often women in this country—particularly professional women—believe an emphasis on personal style is a liability. With Everydayicon.com I hope to change that perception and give professional women the confidence they deserve.
These days you can find lots of style information in magazines and blogs, but I’ve always felt a personal point of view is more powerful–not to mention more interesting. No fashion dictates, just good ideas and information. Everydayicon is a trusted source–not a teacher or a preacher.
